A company recently contacted me to conduct a G2avp soil study. The soil samples were taken using a mini-excavator. During the site visit, the technician reassured me, saying there was nothing to worry about regarding my land. However, the report recommends anchoring at a depth of 1.50 meters in the limestone, which translates to a total depth of 1.5 meters, resulting in a crawl space of 1.30 meters. In the current housing development, all the houses were built directly on the ground without digging down to the limestone or harder soil. If you have a soil study done on your property, budget for additional foundation and earthwork costs, as the chosen solution will always be the most expensive.
